Sharma:

ఏం ప్రసాద్! కళ్ళజోడు ఎన్ని రోజుల నించి పెట్టుకుంటున్నావు? నువ్వు కళ్ళజోడు పెట్టుకోటం ఇప్పుడే చూస్తున్నాను.

Hello! Prasad! How long have been wearing glasses? I see you wearing for the first time just now.

ဟေ့! ပ်ရဆာဒ်! မျက်မှန် (ဝတ်)တပ်တာ ဘယ်နှရက် ရှိပြီလဲ ။ မင်း မျက်မှန် ဝတ်ထားတာကို အခုမှပဲ တွေ့ဖူးတယ်။

Prasad:

నాలుగు రోజుల నించే పెట్టుకుంటున్నాను. మీ పేటలో ఇళ్ళు ఖాళీగా ఉన్నాయా?

I started wearing glasses for the last four days only. Do you have any houses vacant in your area?

လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ လေးရက် ကမှ ဝတ်တာ။ ခင်ဗျားတို့ ရပ်ကွက်မှာ အိမ် အလွတ်တွေ ရှိလား။

Sharma:

ఎందుకు?

Why?

ဘာဖြစ်လို့လဲ။

Prasad:

నాకు కావాలి.

I want one.

ကျနော် လိုချင်လို့ပါ။

Sharma:

ఏం? మీ ఇల్లు బాగానే ఉందిగా?

Why? Your house is all right. Isn’t it?

ဘာလို့လဲ။ မင်းတို့ အိမ်က ကောင်း နေတာပဲ ။

Prasad:

ఇల్లు బాగానే ఉంది, కాని ఉండడం చాలా కష్టంగా ఉంది.

The house is good. But it is getting difficult to stay in that house.

အိမ်က ကောင်းပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ (ဆက်)နေဖို့က အခက်အခဲ ဖြစ်နေတယ်။

Sharma:

ఏం? ఇంటతను మంచివాడు కాదా?

Why? Is not your landlord a good person?

ဘာလို့လဲ။ အိမ်ရှင်က သဘောကောင်းတယ်၊ မဟုတ်လား။

Prasad:

ఇంటతను మంచివాడే! కాని ఇల్లంతా చీకటి. ఎప్పుడూ లైటు ఉండాలి. అంతే కాదు. ఆఫీసుకు దూరం గూడా! రావడం పోవడం ఎంతో కష్టం.

The landlord is a good person. But the house is entirely dark. The lights should be on all the

time. That is not all. It is also far off from the office. It is difficult to go and come back.

အိမ်ရှင်ကတော့ သဘောကောင်းပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် တစ်အိမ်လုံး မှောင်နေတယ်။ အမြဲတမ်း မီထွန်းနေရတယ်။ အဲ့ဒါပဲ မဟုတ်ဘူး။ ရုံးနဲ့လည်း ဝေးတော့။ သွားရ လာရ ခက်လို့။

Sharma:

మీ పేటలో ఇళ్ళ కంటె మా పేటలో ఇళ్ళ అద్దెలు ఎక్కువ.

The house rents are higher in our area than in your area.

မင်းတို့ ရပ်ကွက်က အိမ်တွေထက် တို့ ရပ်ကွက်က အိမ်တွေက ငှားခ ‌များတယ်။

Prasad:

అయితే ఏం? మా పేటలో ఇళ్ళ కంటె మీ పేటలో ఇళ్ళు బాగున్నాయి. పెద్దవి గూడా! మీ ఇంటతను మంచివాడేనా?

So what? The houses in your locality are more convenient than in our locality. They are

big too. Is your landlord a good man?

အဲ့ဒီတော့ ဘာဖြစ်လဲ။ ကျနော်တို့ ရပ်ကွက်က အိမ်တွေထက် ခင်ဗျား တို့ ရပ်ကွက်က အိမ်တွေက (ပို) ကောင်းတယ်။ ကြီးလည်း ကြီးတယ်။ ခင်ဗျားတို့ အိမ်ရှင်က အဆင်ပြေလား။

Sharma:

ఆ! మా పేటలో అందురూ మంచివాళ్ళే. చెడ్డవాళ్ళే లేరు. మా ఇంటి పక్కన ఒక ఇల్లు ఉంది, రా!

Yeah! All people in our locality are good. No bad people here. There is one house vacant beside my house. Come with me.

အင်း၊ တို့ရပ်ကွက်က လူ သန့်တယ်။ လူဆိုးလူမိုက်တွေ မရှိဘူး။ ငါတို့ အိမ်နားမှာ အိမ်တစ်လုံး ရှိတယ်။ လာ။

Prasad:

ఇప్పుడు టైం చాలదు. బస్సు కూడా ఉందో లేదో!

Now the time is not sufficient. It is not known whether bus is available or not.

အခု အချိန် မလောက်တော့ဘူး။ လိုင်းကားလည်း ရှိလား၊ မရှိလား မသိဘူး။

Sharma:

రేపు సెలవే కదా! రేపు ఉదయం రా!
